I really enjoyed reading The Independent newspaper this Tuesday. Bono from U2 was the guest editor. The paper that day spent a lot of time addressing issues in Africa, such as the Aids epidemic. It also looked at the Make Poverty History campaign, plus the promises made at the G8 summit in Gleneagles last year. I hope that these promises will be fulfilled and will indeed overflow.

Bono’s charity Red has launched a new mobile phone with motorola MOTOSLVRTM
which is available to buy in the UK from Monday. A percentage of buying the phone plus every phone call you make from the phone will be contributed to the Global Fund to help eliminate Aids in Africa for more information follow this link You can keep your usual mobile phone number, just transfer your sim card over. Go on, go and buy one – for something you normally do (making a phone call, texting etc), you will be contributing to helping people in Africa, and it’s not really going to cost you anything.
