What happens with the time?

10 Jun

Do ever wonder where all of your time goes in a day? It seems that since returning from Canada three weeks ago now, I just haven’t stopped. I have so much that I want to write down here, but I simply lack time right now. We had our medicals for our Canadian immigration last Tuesday. Everyone has come back with clear results. We need prayer that the immigration official sees favor over us in regards to Ben’s Aspergers. The doctor we saw last week commented on how borderline he was. We pray that the documents we have provided show that to CIC. They need to see that he will not cost the Canadian health care system more than $6000 a year. He currently costs the UK health system nothing. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. I have also just received a letter from the local education authority here that they will be inspecting our home school in June – the second inspection this school year! The kids have studied way more than enough this year, so I feel no stresses over it.

Our visit to Canada was amazing. We really felt at home in the community we are going to be part of when we move. Church was relaxed and very different to the situation we are serving in right now. God also opened up a work opportunity for Jonathan which was great. He should have some sub-contracting web design work. Please pray for him as he is stressing with whether he will earn enough money and the obvious feelings he has now coming out of “paid ministry” for him is soon going to be a reality – a mixture of relief and angst I think. It’s going to be a big change for him – and me – after 13 years or so in pastoring.

Here is a link to a few photos we took whilst away. We took about 400 photos in all!

Over the next few days I hope to write a review on Rob McAlpine’s Post Charismatic – it is a very eye opening book.
